I am not sure how this story is going to play out, but I am all in for this suspenseful and dramatic story between this anti-hero and his obsession. My feelings were all over the place…I was intrigued when I didn’t want to be, I was completely consumed by the hero’s dark and devilish spell he put me under, and my heart raced for the heroine, who holds an air of mystery and bold desire. I read scenes aloud to my husband and we both had our jaws hanging open from the dark details, and chills erupting from the sinister yet seductive desire that these characters invoke. Broke and damaged, she works three jobs while creating paintings no one will ever see. His only weakness is the dark impulse he carefully conceals.
